Guardian ad Litem
In a contested Family Law case, the Court may appoint a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) to focus on the best interests of the minor child(ren), and to assist the Court in ascertaining the child(ren)’s concerns, desires and needs with regard to the issues before the Court. When a GAL is appointed, the GAL represents the interests of the child(ren). At The Cooley Law Firm, Shelly Booth Cooley can provide GAL representation for a minor child(ren), and effectively advocate for the child(ren)’s rights in a Family Law matter.
